The School of Health Sciences and Human Performance at Lynchburg College seeks to fill a tenure-track full-time position in the Health Promotion & Master of Public Health programs beginning fall 2017.
The successful applicant will be willing to strive for teaching excellence, to experiment with new pedagogies, and to collaborate with colleagues from diverse disciplines in support of the institution’s liberal arts mission. An earned terminal academic degree (PhD, EdD, or equivalent) in Public Health, Health Promotion, Health Science or similar health-related field is required with CHES/MCHES certification desired. Candidates nearing completion of terminal degree (ABD status) will be considered if the degree can be conferred by mid-August. Ability to teach biostatistics, program planning and evaluation, health informatics and public health ethics is preferred in addition to various undergraduate courses as needed. Additionally, the selected candidate must successfully pass a background check.
