The Department of Public and Allied Health in the College of Health and Human Services at Bowling Green State University seeks highly qualified candidates to fill two tenure track positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in public and allied health, mentoring/advising students, supervising student projects and internships, and conducting research. Tenure track faculty are expected to establish a record of high quality research/ instruction, publish manuscripts, apply for external funding, participate on academic committees, and provide professional service through community engagement and professional societies. A qualified candidate may be invited to also serve as co‐coordinator of the MPH Consortium Program.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an earned doctoral degree in an area related to public health, allied health, health management, environmental health or health policy by the start date. The candidate should also demonstrate a commitment to the education of diverse populations. Successful performance in an on‐campus interview, including teaching demonstration/presentation, is required.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a balance of public health experience as both an academician and a practitioner with administrative experience. Other preferred qualifications include excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public and allied health. Experience teaching college level courses is especially desirable

Bowling Green State University resides on a beautiful 1,338 acre campus in northwest Ohio, less than four hours from Chicago, Detroit, Columbus and Cincinnati, and less than half an hour from Toledo. BGSU supports 19,000 students including 2,500 at the BGSU Firelands campus. The College of Health and Human Services houses three distinct departments and enrolls over 2,000 undergraduate students and approximately 200 graduate students. The Department of Public and Allied Health includes programs in applied health sciences, dietetics, nutrition science, allied health, medical laboratory science and public health, with 15 fulltime faculty members. The department offers two graduate programs: masters of food and nutrition (MFN) and masters of public health (MPH). The MPH program is part of the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health with the University of Toledo and is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
